FAQ

Pricing & Financing

What does a bathroom remodel with Signature cost?

Every bathroom is different, so pricing depends on the size of your space, the scope of work, and the materials you choose. As a rough guide, a tub or shower replacement typically starts in the $8,000–$15,000 range, while a full bathroom remodel generally runs $25,000–$60,000+. We'll give you a clear, itemized quote after a free in-home consultation — no guesswork and no pressure.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

We do. Signature partners with trusted lenders to offer flexible financing options, including low monthly payments and promotional rates for qualified homeowners. We're happy to walk you through what's available during your consultation.

Process & Timeline

What does your remodeling process look like from start to finish?

We keep it simple and transparent: (1) Free in-home consultation where we measure, listen, and learn what you want. (2) Design and quote — you choose finishes and fixtures, and we provide a detailed, fixed-price quote. (3) Scheduling and permits — we pull any required permits and schedule your install. (4) Installation, managed by a dedicated project lead from demo to final walkthrough. (5) Final walkthrough — we don't consider a project done until you're genuinely happy with it.

How long does a typical project take?

Most tub or shower replacements are completed in 3–5 days. Larger conversions like tub-to-shower or layout updates usually take 5–10 days. A full bathroom remodel — flooring, vanity, lighting, tile, the works — typically runs 2–4 weeks from demo to finish. We'll give you a realistic timeline in writing before we start.

Will work be done on weekends or evenings?

Our crews work standard daytime hours, Monday through Friday, so we're not making noise during your dinner or weekends. If a project deadline calls for it, we can sometimes arrange Saturday work — just ask.

Will I be able to use my bathroom during the remodel?

If it's your only bathroom, expect it to be out of service for most of the project. We do everything we can to shorten that window and, in many cases, the bathroom is usable each evening once a temporary fixture is in place. If you have a second bathroom, you'll barely notice we're there.

How disruptive is the project — dust, noise, debris?

Remodeling is never silent, but we work hard to keep your home livable. We lay protective floor coverings from the front door to the work area, hang plastic dust barriers, and clean up at the end of every workday. Demolition days are the loudest; finish work is generally quiet.

Who is responsible for obtaining permits?

We are. Signature pulls all required permits with the City of Seattle or your local Eastside jurisdiction (Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, etc.) and coordinates inspections. You don't have to chase paperwork or take time off work to meet inspectors — we handle it.

Design & Products

What design styles and finishes do you offer?

Whatever fits your home — from clean modern and Pacific Northwest contemporary to classic, transitional, and craftsman. We carry a wide range of tile, stone, quartz, acrylic surrounds, vanities, faucets, and lighting from trusted brands, so you're not stuck choosing from a tiny showroom catalog.

Do you provide design consultation?

Yes. Every project includes design support at no extra charge. Our designers help you balance style, function, and budget, and we bring physical samples to your home so you can see how finishes look in your actual lighting.

What brands of fixtures and materials do you use?

We work with established names like Kohler, Delta, Moen, Toto, and Schluter, along with a curated selection of regional tile and stone suppliers. If you have a specific brand in mind — or want to source something yourself — just let us know and we'll work it in where we can.

Can you do a full remodel, or just a tub/shower replacement?

Both. Some homeowners come to us for a quick tub-to-shower conversion; others want to take the bathroom down to the studs and start fresh. We're equipped to handle the full range, including layout changes, plumbing relocations, and electrical upgrades.

Do you offer walk-in tubs, curbless showers, or accessible / aging-in-place features?

Yes. We design and install walk-in tubs, low-threshold and curbless showers, comfort-height toilets, grab bars, built-in benches, hand-held shower wands, and slip-resistant flooring. Whether you're planning ahead or remodeling for an immediate need, we'll help you make smart choices that look great and don't feel institutional.

Can you remodel small or unusual bathroom layouts?

Absolutely. Many Seattle and Eastside homes — especially older Craftsman, mid-century, and townhome layouts — have tight or quirky bathrooms. That's our specialty. We'll find creative ways to add storage, light, and breathing room without expanding the footprint.

Company, Licensing & Workmanship

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

Yes. Signature Bathroom Remodeling is fully licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington State. We're happy to provide our certificate of insurance on request.

Are your installers employees or subcontractors?

The core team running your project — your project lead and lead installers — are Signature employees, not day labor. For specialized trades like plumbing and electrical, we partner with a small group of vetted, licensed local pros we've worked with for years. Either way, the same standard of workmanship applies.

What areas do you serve?

We serve Seattle and the Greater Eastside, including Bellevue, Kirkland, Redmond, Bothell, Woodinville, Sammamish, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Newcastle, Renton, and surrounding neighborhoods. Not sure if you're in our service area? Give us a call — we'll let you know.

How long has Signature Bathroom Remodeling been in business?

Signature has been remodeling bathrooms across the Puget Sound region for years, with a long list of completed projects and repeat and referral customers. Local roots, local crews, local accountability.

Do you handle plumbing and electrical work in-house?

Yes. All plumbing and electrical work is performed by licensed professionals on our team or our long-time partner trades, fully permitted and inspected. You won't be juggling multiple contractors — Signature manages everything end-to-end.

Are there any hidden fees?

What does your remodeling process look like from start to finish?

No. The price you sign for is the price you pay. The only time a quote changes is if we open a wall and discover something unexpected — like hidden water damage or outdated plumbing that's no longer up to code. In those rare cases, we'll stop, show you what we found, explain your options, and get your written approval before any extra work begins.

Warranty & Aftercare

What warranty do you offer on labor and materials?

We stand behind our work with a lifetime warranty on workmanship for as long as you own your home, plus the manufacturer's warranty on every product we install (many of which are also lifetime). The specifics are spelled out clearly in your contract — no fine print surprises.

Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?

Yes. Our workmanship warranty includes a one-time transfer to the next homeowner within the first 12 months of the sale, which can be a real asset when you list. Most manufacturer warranties on the materials we install are also transferable per their individual terms.

How do I care for and clean my new bathroom surfaces?

We'll leave you with a printed care guide tailored to the materials in your bathroom, but the short version: warm water, a soft cloth, and a non-abrasive cleaner are all you need for daily upkeep. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive pads, and bleach-based cleaners on natural stone or acrylic surfaces.

What happens if something goes wrong after installation?

Call us. Really — that's it. If something covered by our warranty isn't right, we'll come back out, diagnose the issue, and make it right. We're a local company, which means we'll still be here next year and the year after.
